Brad Axel has prevailed at trial on our clients' claims under the Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act, and obtained a judgment against another judgment debtor's wife.
Just a few months after we had prevailed in the Illinois Appellate Court, which ordered that sanctions be assessed against the husband, he transferred title to two expensive automobiles to his wife, attempting to frustrate our clients' collection of a the substantial judgment about to be entered against him. Brad Axel successfully tried the case in October 2008 in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division. The court ruled in our clients' favor, entering judgment in favor of our clients and against the wife for the value of the property fraudulently conveyed from her husband. The case is now again before the Appellate Court.
